Hudson Players Club Presents
Dancing at Lughnasa

Directed by Donna Byrne

April 4-14

The year is 1936. Outside the village of Ballybeg, County Donegal, Ireland, the five Mundy sisters battle poverty to raise seven-year-old Michael and care for their brother, ‘Uncle’ Jack. During the Festival of Lughnasa, Pagan and Christian meet and collide. The sisters fight each other, love each other, dance, yearn and survive.

Come see Brian Friel’s Olivier Award-winning play, an astonishing evocation of a family’s world on the brink of change.

The main screen is at the Hudson Village Theatre, a restored historic train station built in 1890. As the Town’s cultural center, it is the perfect venue for film. Skin Flick by Norm Foster

May 16-26 (Matinées & Evenings)

Middle-aged couple Rollie and Daphne Waters and their friend Alex Tratt have found themselves out of work and facing dire financial circumstances. Desperate for money, they come up with an idea: they’ll make an adult movie! Of course, other than Alex’s skills as a cameraman, they have no idea what they’re doing and none of them are willing to perform on camera. With luck, they manage to find two actors to star in their (ahem) film and that’s when their problems really start.
Join us for this slightly risqué and very funny fundraiser written by Canadian playwright, Norm Foster.
